A short section of embankment containing the Shropshire Union Canal, Middlewich Branch, has collapsed overnight, causing water to drain from the canal into the river below.

We're launching our 2018 National Boat Owners’ Views Survey, which is sent out to a third of our boat licence holders, and we're calling on boaters to share their thoughts and feelings about their experience of the waterways.
To celebrate the essential works being carried out at three locks on the Kennet & Avon Canal in Seend, we are giving local people the chance to walk down into one of the drained locks during a special open day this weekend.

This International Women’s Day we're publishing our annual Gender Pay Gap Compliance Statement, which shows effectively no pay gap between male and female employees.

Today, we're letting boaters know changes we will be making to boat licensing following our consultation. The changes, to be phased in over five years from April 2019, aim to ensure the financial contribution made by boaters towards the cost of looking after the waterways is spread fairly across the boating community.
