The Thames Lock at Brentford is West London's gateway to the River Thames. This location has a gritty edge - London's largest boat yard is just next door and it is overlooked by 1970s apartment blocks.

This area is largely unspoilt by modern buildings. The lock is tidal so passages by boats must be booked, when the lock is not being used by boats filming can take place.
