The Bond on the Grand Union Canal in Digbeth

The area surrounding the canal in Digbeth is undergoing regeneration to accommodate HS2 and has become the new heart of film production in Birmingham, with Digbeth Loc studios situated on its banks. Warwick Bar, where the Digbeth Branch of the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal meets the Grand Union Canal, showcases elements of the area's rich industrial history. The canal is lined with historic buildings like the boat-shaped former Fellows, Morton & Clayton HQ, the Banana Warehouse and The Bond with their covered wharves. The towpath is lined with trees in some areas and features several brick footbridges and an aqueduct over the River Rea.
