Bumble Hole is where the New Mainline Canal meets the Dudley No 2 Canal at Windmill End. Set within the Bumble Hole Nature Reserve, there are remnants of Dudley's industrial heritage dotted around, making this a fantastic location for period dramas.
Distinctive black and white footbridges criss-cross the canal junction, giving plenty of different viewpoints for filming. Despite being less than 10 miles drive from the centre of Birmingham, this Bumble Hole could be mistaken for a rural location. Meadows, woodland and ponds surround the canal here, with plenty of wildlife including swans, geese and bats. Further along the towpath you will see the Cobbs Engine bridge before you reach the Netherton Tunnel which stretches 1.72 miles underground.
The visitor centre is run by volunteers from the Friends of Bumble Hole & Warrens Hall Local Nature Reserve.
