The charity making life better by water

A new spring jigsaw

Unwind for five minutes and piece together our latest jigsaw of bustling locks on the Grand Union Canal.

Stoke Hammond in Buckinghamshire is the perfect place for a spot of gongoozling - also known as watching boats pass through the locks. How quickly can you put this traditional scene together?

The Grand Union Canal

The Grand Union Canal links London to Birmingham, passing through rolling countryside, industrial towns and quaint villages - of which Stoke Hammond is one.

Stretching a huge 137 miles from the vibrant heart of London, the Grand Union leads out into the Chiltern Hills, through rural Northamptonshire and Warwickshire and into the Birmingham suburbs.
