Meet our fantastic team of dedicated volunteers who help us look after our heritage here at the Canal Museum, and along the towpath in Stoke Bruerne.
Our volunteers also act as visitor guides and gift shop helpers. While more of our team work as lock keepers, or cut the grass, clear the woods, grease the lock mechanisms, paint the gates and benches and many more important jobs that make sure our museum remains one of our featured places to visit. We couldn’t continue to care for our wonderful waterways without them.
Whether you want to be a museum helper, lock keeper, help wildlife, learn more about canal heritage, become one of our Explorer education volunteers or take on more of an office-based role, there’s bound to be one of our volunteer opportunities to suit you.
Go to our volunteer pages to find out all you need to know about the ins and outs of volunteering and how you can get involved now.
