There's such a wide choice of boats on the market that choosing your ideal boat can be a bit overwhelming. Not to worry though, as there's plenty of great advice and information available if you know where to look.
In addition to our guide here, there are lots of web sites on this subject. A great starting place would be one of the specialist inland boating magazines. Waterways World and Canal Boat magazine are both available online, by subscription or can be found in your local newsagent. Towpath Talk is another great place to find out about buying a new boat. You can subscribe to it or pick up a free copy in most marinas or our offices.
Don't miss the country’s largest inland boat show held annually at Crick in Northamptonshire at the end of May or early June. Here you can look over newly built narrowboats, talk to second hand boat brokers, businesses and organisations offering the full range of goods and services needed by boat owners, and attend seminars on relevant topics.
Also - don't forget to Google - there's so much information out there!
