Asking for donations at a funeral can provide comfort to family and friends who, at a difficult time in their lives, can be assured that their loved one is remembered with gifts towards a cause that they felt strongly about or provided them with much pleasure during their life.

If you’re thinking of asking for donations to the Canal & River Trust in memory of a loved one please get in touch with us and we’ll let you know the most effective and easiest way to take donations at a funeral. For example it’s best to make a donation by cheque as it's more secure than cash.

Alternatively, your funeral director will be able to organise the collection of donations – if you would prefer that that they dealt with any gifts on your behalf please ask them to get in touch with us so that we can discuss the easiest way of making a donation.
