We love and care for your canals and rivers, because everyone deserves a place to escape.

Contacting your local office

As the Canal & River Trust covers such a large geographical area, some of the work that we do is managed by local teams, all of which have excellent knowledge of their area.

Our local waterway offices are responsible for the maintenance of the canals and rivers within their boundaries. As you’re cruising, walking or visiting one of our waterways you might notice something which you’d like to let the local waterway office know about. For example a fallen tree, excessive littering, leaking lock gates, bridge strike or overgrown vegetation.

If you're not sure which waterway office to get in touch with you can download a map, which shows you our boundaries.

To make it easy for you to get in touch with us by phone we have one number that you can reach any office or person you need to speak to. For more information call 0303 040 4040.

How much will calls to this number cost?

030 numbers were specifically designed for not-for-profit organisations and charities.  Calls to this number cost no more than calls to geographic (01 and 02) numbers and must be included in inclusive minutes and discount schemes in the same way. More information can be read in this guidance document produced by OFCOM
