On the junction of the Regent's Canal and Hertford Canal, Old Ford Lock and Bow Wharf are fine examples of our working industrial heritage.
The area has undergone significant changes with the development of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and provides a traffic-free cycling or walking route along the towpath to navigate the city.
Explore Victoria Park, one of London's most-visited green spaces, and use our spotters guide to discover the local wildlife. A short walk along the Regen'ts Canal will take you to Mile End Ecology Park.
Where does the water come from?
Old Ford Lock lies just below the junction with the er or n1on ana, so a small amount of the water ma come from as far away as the Grand Union Canal near Rickmansworth. Most of the water here comes from the River Lea, the Lee Navigation which intertwines with it, and from tributaries including the River Stort. There is a large catchment area.
