The charity making life better by water

Cyclists on the towpath on a sunny day, travelling along the Beeston Canal

Beeston Lock

Beeston Lock takes boaters from the River Trent into the city centre on the Nottingham and Beeston Canal. The canal takes boaters through Castle Lock before returning them to the River Trent at Trent Bridge.

It's a great place to escape to the country, watch boats working the lock and see the magnificent weir, which generates hydro-electric power.
