Bathampton is a pretty village on the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. What better starting place for a great family day out exploring a canal!

Near by is Bath City Centre with its Sydney Gardens, Pump House Chimney, Cleveland House, Darlington Wharf, Sydney Wharf, Baird's Maltings, Thrimble Mill to name but a few.

Or go the other direction and cycle up the towpath to Claverton Pumping Station, built by John Rennie to supply water to the canal.
