The charity making life better by water

A red and green narrowboat cruises along calm, rural waters with thick greenery covering the towpath.

Boater Report 2024

The Boater Report gives an overview of how we generated income and how the money was invested into the network during 2023/24.

A year of near-record spending on charitable activities, but with the continued challenges of the effects of climate change on our historic infrastructure.

Included in the report is an overview of the innovative ways we are tackling the problems of unreported road vehicle strikes on bridges and fly-tipping, what we are doing to assist boaters through the installation of accessible moorings and an introduction to our plan for better boating.

View the text-only version of the Boater Report.

If you're a boat licence holder, we'll send you a PDF of the report along with your licence renewal or if you're buying a boat licence for the first time.

What would you like to see in our 2025 report?

We're interested to hear your feedback to understand what information you find most useful, and whether there are any other aspects of our work that you'd like to see more of in future reports.
