The charity making life better by water

How to find volunteer lock keepers

Volunteer lock keepers are at many of our locks over the summer months to welcome visitors and assist boaters.

Frankton Locks with lockkeeper

We can't always guarantee volunteer lock keepers will be on duty, but if you know in advance when you'll be passing and that you need help, it is best to contact our regional customer service team. They can let our volunteer lock keeper team know when you are coming, to try to have someone on duty to assist.
