The charity making life better by water

Improving Old Oak Lane towpath access

We are working with The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and Ealing Council to improve the access from Old Oak Lane to the canal towpath, as part of a joint effort to improve the canal environment through Old Oak and Park Royal.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the public consultation last year. The proposals were granted planning consent in November 2020. A revised application for an amended access design has now been submitted for consideration by OPDC's Planning Committee on 15 July 2021. The revised design responds to a change in National Grid's intention to remove its electricity cables in the towpath which will now stay in situ.
