Regional Advisory Boards

It's really important for the people who are passionate about our canals and rivers to have a say in how they are run. Our regional advisory boards give you that chance to support the work the Trust does in your local area.

Working alongside each region's full time colleagues, our boards help to:

use local knowledge, ideas and capacity to build new relationships, so people can use and enjoy the waterways
help us reach the diverse local communities that we serve
translate national priorities into local initiatives
gather and feedback to Trust colleagues on local priorities, opportunities and risks
‘open doors' to local and regional structures and decision-makers across all sectors and help us grow our supporter base in the local community
identify and trial new ways of delivering our ambitions and priorities
