From wide agricultural vistas to rolling hills and valleys, our waterway, rich with history and structural phenomenons passes through some of the most rural counties in England and Wales.
Not only are our waterways full of wildlife, we've some great treasures dotted around our waters, including Pontcysyllte and Chirk Aqueducts, Anderton Boat Lift and the wonderful Ellesmere Yard. And there are loads of boating and towpath activities to enjoy - for instance, why not Paddle the right way (Welsh version) - our guide to canoeing the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site.
Along with our partnership, our cross-border waterways are very important and they bring all sorts of amazing benefits.
