From Taunton to Reading, the 87 mile K&A and 13 mile Bridgwater & Taunton, these green corridors cut a path through some of the most spectacular scenery in the south-west.
The Kennet & Avon is home to some magnificent sights and sites. The famous Caen Hill Locks, Maunsel Lock and Crofton Pumping Station, as well as 21 conservation sites, 14 SSSIs (Sites of Special Scientific Interest), a world heritage site and a historic battlefield.
Along with our partnership, we are guardians not only of the waters, but all the wonderful features that surround it.

This spring we're inviting you to celebrate the diverse waterways of our region, and take part in our Spring photo competition. The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over who feels they can capture the spirit of the waterways. See attached terms and conditions for the competiton.
