We take the Oxford Canal towpath to the Isis bridge and lock where we follow the Sheepwash channel to the Thames riverside path.
A refreshments and toilet break at the The Medley, Oxford, a pop up pub on the Thames river bank.
We cross Port Meadow to Walton Well road where we rejoin the canal towpath back to Hythe bridge.
This is a leisurely walk which allows time to stop and take photos, take in the local wildlife and generally enjoy the well-being effects of being by water.
Please note that the Thames Path and the Oxford Canal towpath are level and flat, but there are two hump back bridges to cross. The sheepwash channel towpath passes under the railway with low headroom.
The walk is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join the walk, but must be kept on the lead at all times.
