Wootton Rivers to Crofton canoe trail

Enjoy a rural paddle along the Kennet & Avon Canal finishing at Crofton Pumping Station, built over 150 years ago to pump water to the summit of the canal.

Start point: Wootton Rivers SN8 4NQ

Put your boat in the water to the east of Wooten Rivers Bottom Lock and then paddle north through some of the country's most picturesque rural scenery.

This route will take you through Bruce Tunnel. Take care through this tunnel. Find out more about canoeing safely on our canals and rivers.

Your trip finishes at Crofton pumping station where you can enjoy the facilities of a tea room and take a peak around one of the world's oldest working steam beam engines.
