The charity making life better by water

Volunteer in the restoration team

Working with local canal restoration groups and other partners, we're helping to repair and reinvigorate parts of the canal network that have been forgotten.

Now, we're after volunteers who can help gather and share these stories.

It's vital that we tell the stories of those involved not only in Trust activities but the wider restoration community as a whole. We want to share and celebrate what has been achieved and the impact it's had on local people and communities.

The role

This role will see volunteers attending various events, volunteer work parties and activities to meet with restoration volunteers, Trust colleagues and members of the public, carrying out interviews and taking photographs, videos and audio recordings to help us to better capture the impact of this important work.

This information will then be turned into stories and will be shared on our website and social media channels through methods such as case studies and blogs.

As well as physically attending restoration sites and events, you may be asked to contact volunteers over the phone or via video messaging. If you need to work entirely remotely, just let us know so we can accommodate this.

This is a flexible, part time role designed to fit around your other commitments. We are hoping to recruit a few volunteers from around the country who would each go out a couple of times per year.
