Consall Forge sits on the Caldon Canal and River Churnet, alongside Consall Nature Park.
This beautiful, idyllic hamlet was once an area of heavy industry, bringing limestone down from the hills into Stoke-on-Trent. The Caldon was originally built to channel the plentiful rain of the Staffordshire Moorlands to the Trent & Mersey Canal.
Now, it's the perfect family day out with a river, canal, and steam railway. Follow trails through the nature park, take the steam train down the Churnet Valley along the canal, or sit on the grassy bank to gongoozle at passing boats.
