Maunsel Lock was once busy with boats plying their trade to and from Bridgwater Docks. Today, it's a great place to start exploring the Bridgwater & Taunton Canal.

Somerset Space Walk - a true scale model of our Solar System with the ‘planets' strategically placed along the towpath. The relative sizes of the planets and the distances between them help us to identify with the vast emptiness of space.
Wildlife spotting:
The wetland habitat is carefully managed to support wildlife, including large stocks of fish, particularly roach, pike, perch, carp, bream and tench. This rich food supply attracts kingfishers and herons and in spring and summer the wildflowers along the banks are alive with butterflies, crickets, dragonflies and damselflies.
