Please be aware, whilst the navigation will be open following repairs at Farmers Bridge Lock 9, the towpath will remain closed between Locks 8 and 10 until 12th March, to enable new handrails to be installed beneath the bridge.

Please note, the navigation will be closed between Lock 1, Top Lock, and Lock 13, Bottom Lock, for the duration of this stoppage.

The towpath will be closed between Lock 8 and Lock 10.

For safety reasons, it will be necessary to close the towpath between Lock 8 and Lock 10 during this stoppage, due to the narrow width of the path.

The navigation will re-open on 5th March 2021, as planned, however the towpath will remain closed until 12th March 2021 to enable new handrails to be installed beneath the bridge.

Description

Carry out top and bottom gate replacements, improvements to the lock ladder, brickwork and coping repairs.
