Our response to coronavirus

We are continuing to support the national effort to keep everyone safe, while making sure everyone still has the opportunity to visit their local waterway, which can make us feel happier and healthier.

Our navigations are open for boating and you can enjoy exercise and being in the outdoors, close to nature, on our towpaths. With eight million people living within 1km of one of our waterways, towpaths provide a free, accessible and local green space to get a breath of fresh air.

In line with current HSE and government guidance, we no longer have covid specific principles, risk assessments or protocols in place. Instead we ask that you please be considerate of others as it is our collective responsibility to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of ourselves and each other.

Please refer to the government guidance for England and Wales for more information.
