The works have been completed ahead of schedule and the towpath is now open.
Description
The towpath between Fishponds Lock and Woodlesford Lock is to be closed during October and November 2018 as a result of dredging works on the Aire & Calder Navigation.
The silt from the dredging is to be offloaded to Woodlesford Tip, this offloading will involve excavators reaching over the towpath, therefore in the interest of public safety the towpath will be closed for the duration of the works.
Whilst these works are being carried out pedestrians using the towpath will be able to cross over at the locks and use the path on the opposite side
