A running event organised by Gavin Birkett and titled 'Gods Own Backyard Ultra Fall' running event will be taking place on Saturday 15th November and Sunday 16th November 2025 on the towpath section between Newlay Middle Lock and Bridge 221a, New Road Bridge. Towpath users, the towpath will remain open but please be aware of runners and keep to one side to allow the runners to pass whilst completing their event. The running event will occur every hour until there is only one runner left. This will be within the hours of 8am on the Saturday 15th November through to 8pm on the Sunday 16th November 2025.
