Update 13 October 2025, 2:25pm

Due to programming issues, these works will take place from 21st October until the 24th October 2025.

Original 10 October 2025, 4:16pm

Eco-Power on behalf of Cadent Gas are undertaking works at Briar Hill Pipe Bridge on the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.  The works are scheduled for 4 days from Tuesday 14th October to Friday 17th October between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm.

There will be a tower scaffold erected close to the towpath in order to place netting underneath the main structure of the bridge to catch any potential scaling of the pipe.  This is to protect towpath and navigation users.

Work will temporarily stop to allow safe passage, however, at key stages there may be up to a 20 minute delay.  Please be aware of increased activity and pass with care.
