Between Bridge 139A and Bridge 140

Third-party contractors will be onsite between Bridge 139A and Bridge 140 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal to carry out necessary works of the overhead poles.

These works will be taking place between Monday 22nd September from 8am to Wednesday 22nd October to 5pm.

We would request boaters & towpath users to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop as there may be a short delay until the area is made safe.  

We anticipate a wait of no longer than a maximum of 20 minutes for canal users and towpath users no longer than 5 minutes. 

Please listen to any advice that may be given by the contractors and take note of the signage onsite.
