CRT are undertaking repair works to the bridge and towpath, this will include the installation of support piles on both water side and off side of tow path.
Due to the nature of the works there will be assisted passage for pedestrians and cyclist, who may be asked to dismount, through the works area.
Specifically on Wednesday 29 October 2025, there will be a need to completely close the towpath for periods of up to an hour to allow materials and component to be craned into position.
Navigation will also be restricted due to a work pontoon, however the navigation will remain open at all times. Signage will be set out to inform towpath and navigation users of the works.
