Reason: Repair
Description: The floats on the half landing to the floating mooring downstream of Linton Lock on the River Ouse are damaged and may not be functioning correctly. Works are required to remove and lift the half landing onto land to replace the floats with new ones, carry out any other required repairs and, install new fendering to make the new floats more resilient to further impact damage. The 2 walkway bridges to the floating pontoon will also need to be lifted onto land for the duration along with the disconnection of the water point. The works have to be completed at this time due to restrictions of the Flood Risk Activities Permit from the Environment Agency.
Instructions: The floating mooring along with the water point will be closed for the duration of the works. There maybe times when our customers particularly on land may have to wait for a short duration particularly during craning operations to ensure it is carried out safely. Please take instruction from signage and our contractors. There is no towpath as such at this location but there is land access to the Lock, pub, caravan site and moorings which will be affected. The pub and caravan site owner has been contacted.
