Advice - Regent's Canal, Hampstead Road - Lock 1a, Camden

Work has commenced on the repair, with the team successfully reinstating the Island side lock gate, which is now operating as expected. Progress remains positive, and efforts are continuing to re-fix the damaged timber quoin. The team is working hard to get the lock open as soon as possible and further updates will be provided when more information is available.

Lock 1a remains closed. We will be carrying out a repair prior to the planned winter works on the Regents canal.

The investigation still on going. Boaters are to continue to use Lock 1B until further notice.
