Descriptions

Update 14 July 2025, 11:28am

Part of the tree has been cleared and wide-beam boats can also now pass with care.

A further update will follow by 25th July or as soon as we have more information.

Update 11 July 2025, 3:58pm

The size and location of the tree means that we require access through the nearby farmers field, to be able to clear it from the navigation.

Unfortunately, this field is currently being harvested and we will not be able to gain access for at least 10 days.

Narrowboats can still get past but please proceed with care.  Wide-beam craft are advised not to travel until the tree has been cleared.

We aim to access the tree during the week of 21st July and we shall update this notice by 25th July or sooner if we have more information.
