The towpath between Lock 24E, Uppermill Bridge (Slaithwaite) and Bridge 62 footbridge (Standedge) will have improvement works undertaken from Monday 9th June 2025 and will continue until October 2025.
The towpath will remain open, but the path may be restricted or diverted in areas whist work is being undertaken. Towpath users may have to wait and be escorted through working areas by staff.
Please be aware there may be uneven surfaces and construction activity throughout this period of time.
Please adhere to any instructions given by staff.
