The River Skell which feeds the Ripon Canal is low due to the lack of recent rainfall within the catchment area.
To assist with water management of the canal, we are placing weir boards in to prevent water loss at Oxclose Lock on the Ripon Canal.
The air draft for craft passing under Bridge 5, Rentons Bridge, will be reduced.
Skippers should approach slowly and take caution due to the reduced air draft.
We will provide an update when water levels in the River Skell return to normal.
