An ultra-marathon, organised by Canalrace C.I.C. is taking place between 6am Saturday 24th May and 3:30pm on Monday 26th May on the Grand Union Canal, but also along small sections of the Paddington Arm, Digbeth Branch, Birmingham and Fazeley Canal, and the New Mainline.
The route will start in Little Venice and finish at Gas Street Basin. This notice covers the route from the end of the Grand Union Canal to Gas Street Basin, following a section of the Digbeth Branch, Birmingham & Fazeley Canal and the New Mainline. The towpath will remain open but there might be slight delays. Please follow any safety advice from event stewards and proceed with care.
