The five locks at Seend on the Kennet & Avon Canal were once a hive of activity with trade. Today, they are a picture of tranquility.
Cycle a mile along the towpath to Semington Bottom Lock, the junction with the Wilts & Berks Canal. Long abandoned, this canal is now being restored by volunteers from the Wilts and Berks Canal Trust.
Along the canal are some incredible picturesque places to visit, from Dundas Aqueduct and Avoncliff Aqueduct to Bradford on Avon and Caen Hill.
