The charity making life better by water

Row of buildings along a canal on a sunny day

Ripon

The mediaeval city of Ripon is home to the Ripon Canal, twisting lanes, and a stunning seventh-century cathedral. The canal basin is overlooked by restored historic buildings and a renovated warehouse.

A walk along the towpath takes you past moored narrowboats and locks, along a green corridor through the city and out into the countryside. Here, you'll find Ripon Marina or head to the racecourse on the canal's banks.
