Please join us for a fun leisurely walk along the canal. You'll learn a lot and meet new people!
A led walk starting and ending at Marsworth/Startop’s End Reservoirs Car Park. We will walk up to the reservoirs and along the Grand Union canal. Along the way we will explain how the reservoir and canal system work, and hope that a boat or two comes along so we can see the canal lock operation. There’s also lots of birdlife.
There will be specific stops at Wilstone Reservoir bird hide and an introduction to the wildfowl locally. We will have coffee at the end. Attached is the route. This walk is not suitable for children or dogs.
The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. Please just wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket if raining. However with all the fallen leaves the tow path (even if it is not raining) it can be muddy/slippy so stout shoes are really required (stronger than recommended).
