Let's Bird Walk! Grand Union Canal

Starts: 18 July 2024

Ends: 18 July 2024

12:00 am - 01:00 pm

15-17 Barretts Green Road London

Come join us for a FREE guided bird walk along the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal as part of the Community Roots Programme (Brent).

Come join us this Summer for a two hour guided bird walk on the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal. Magnus Andersson (experienced bird walk leader) will guide you along the towpath to spot the local bird around the area.

We will start the walk at the canalside entrance by lebanese restaurant, Biet el Zaytoun, near Acton Lane, opposite to the Grand Union Arms pub. We will then be heading West towards Abbey Road bridge where there will be an option to grab a hot drink with welfare facilaties from Abbey Point Cafe. You will then carry on over the North Circular Aqueduct and head to Alperton. You will end your walk by Ealing Rd bridge.

Birdwatching is unpredictable so the species seen on the day will inform the major talking points. But we will also, amongst other things, learn how to identify and record birds.
