Bathampton is a pretty village on the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. What better starting place for a great family day out exploring a canal!
Near by is Bath City Centre with it's Sydney Gardens, Pump House Chimney, Cleveland House, Darlington Wharf, Sydney Wharf, Baird's Maltings, Thrimble Mill to name but a few...
Or go the other direction and cycle up the towpath to Claverton Pumping Station, built by John Rennie to supply water to the canal.

The Kennet & Avon Canal is so pretty, it's almost one giant picnic area! So bring your rug and enjoy the tranquil sounds of canalside life.
Wildlife spotting:
The canal is a green ribbon running through the town, get out and see some great wildlife and experience nature close at hand. As well as the resident ducks look out for herons, cormorants and water voles.
