Description
The towpath will be closed between Bridge 92 and Nantwich Aqueduct to allow our contractors to carry out scheduled investigation works on the embankment. During this time, the access ramp near the aqueduct will be closed, but the adjacent access steps will remain open.
As part of the works, core samples will be taken to help our engineers better understand the embankment's structure and conditions.
Visitor moorings between Bridge 92 and Nantwich Aqueduct will be suspended for the duration of the works, while moorings between Nantwich Aqueduct and Bridge 91 will remain unaffected.
Navigation will remain open, We politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to pass slow as contractors will be working from a pontoon. Please listen to any advice that may be given by the contractors.
