We are pleased to advise that we are now able to undertake these works without a towpath closure.

Description

Unfortunately we haven't been able to resource this work alongside all the other works on the K&A during the winter works period.

The wooden quoins are in poor condition and we are keen to get them replaced to improve the operability of the lock. After consulting with key stakeholders, the Trust will be closing the navigation at Sheffield Lock 101 to do this essential work on the quoins.

The Navigation will be closed from the 15 March 2025 through to the 17 April 2025.

The towpath will be closed for the duration of the works.
