The boat is safely secured but may not be visible if you are approaching to use the lock so please proceed with care. We are working to remove the boat and will endeavour to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

We will update this notice as soon as we have more information.

Description

After a boat fire there is now a partially sunken craft close to Nutbrook Aqueduct on the Erewash Canal.

The craft is still visible, and at the moment is not obstructing the Navigation.

Please be mindful of this craft when navigating this stretch and pass slowly with care.
