We are pleased to welcome Age UK Lancashire who are holding a canoe challenge event on Saturday 10 May 2025 between 7.00am and 7.00pm.
This event will take place between the Waterwitch Footbridge and Salwick Bridge, Bridge 26 on the Lancaster Canal.
We ask all boaters to slow down when approaching the area and be aware of other canal users following the safety advice given by the event organisers and stewards and please proceed with care.
The towpath will remain open although we anticipate that it will be busier than usual, so please exercise caution when walking through the area in which the event is taking place.
