Updates

08/08/2024 15:20

After reconsideration, Network Rail has advised that they can only offer passage at 10pm and not the previous 6am passage as previously publicised, this is to ensure they have time to rectify any potential issues if the bridge fails.

08/08/2024 11:34

Network Rail has informed us that the bridge needs additional repairs, which are expected to take approximately two weeks.

During this time, Network Rail will allow passage through the bridge at 6am and 10pm daily until the repairs are finished.

We will update this notice once we have more information to share.

07/08/2024 14:15

Network Rail will be opening the bridge on Wednesday evening between midnight and 1am (Thursday morning) to see if they can resolve the issue with the structure.

Any boats which need to get through will be able to do so at this time.

We will provide an update tomorrow after Network Rail's investigation, with more information on the situation.

Description

Network Rail has advised that the Vazon swing bridge at Keadby is not currently operational due to a malfunction.

A new part is required and this has to be manufactured. It is anticipated that this will take at least seven days and that the structure will remain in the closed (to boat traffic) position during this time.

This notice will be updated as soon as we receive information from Network Rail.
