Please be advised navigation remains closed at Bridge 32, Crabtree Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
Our specialist contractors are returning to site on Saturday 23 December to undertake works to repair the power issue preventing safe operation of the bridge.
Should this repair be successful navigation will resume on the afternoon of Saturday 23 December.
We understand the importance of keeping navigation open, especially during the festive season, and we would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your understanding during this temporary closure.

Please be advised navigation remains closed at Bridge 32, Crabtree Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
We have been advised there has been a delay in receiving the necessary component to resolve the power issue from the manufacturer. Once in receipt of the circuit board our specialist contractors will return to site to install the part and conduct thorough testing of the bridge.
A further update will be provided by Friday 22 December.

We have now liaised directly with the manufacturer of the component that is required to resolve the power issue, we anticipate the delivery time to be seven days. Once in receipt of the circuit board our specialist contractors will return to site to install and conduct necessary testing of the bridge.

Please be advised our contractors have been to site and assessed the power issue at Bridge 32, Crabtree Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Whilst our teams work on a method of repair and source the necessary parts, navigation will remain closed.
