Please be advised, whilst navigation is still possible, Lock 5 on the Glasson Branch will take longer than normal to fill. A repair will be carried out once we have the required resources, as we continue to prioritise emergency works required along the Lancaster Canal.

Please be advised, following an inspection of Lock 5 Top Gate on the Glasson Branch, Lancaster Canal, we have noted an issue with the tailgate paddle. Whilst navigation is still possible, the lock will take longer than normal to fill.
Our teams are due to complete an inspection of the works required to repair the tailgate paddle.
An update will be provided Friday 16 June.
