Contractors continue with the maintenance works on the gas pipes at Bridge 1B (east Croft).
These works are now scheduled to be completed by 31st December.
Pontoon and scaffold are in the waterway, to the east of the navigation. The scaffold is erected around the gas pipes which will reduce towpath width.
Navigation and towpath users should proceed with care and follow advice on site.

Due to a leak on the gas main, the third party contractor maintenance and re-coating of the gas pipes which cross the canal at Bridge 1B (East Croft), has been extended to 31st May.
