Please be advised that a temporary overhead bridge will be in use at Lock 60 to allow customers to operate the lock safely, while work continues at Crofton Pumping Station.
Be aware that there is no towpath access to the downstream end of lock 60, with access only possible by boat, via a temporary pontoon.
It is not possible to walk between locks 60 & 61 at present and customers should plan for this when approaching and leaving lock 60 and waiting for crew members.
Please follow local signage indicating safe walking routes and kindly respect the construction site boundaries for your own safety.
